Mr. Okin also prides himself on his tenacious approach to each and every one of his cases and his ability to craft a strong defense, always fighting for the best outcome possible, no matter the severity or complexity of the charge. The New York native made his way to Maryland via American University in Washington, DC and Towson University in Baltimore, Maryland, where he graduated with Bachelor of Science degrees in Sociology and Anthropology. He began his Master’s Degree in Negotiation, Mediation, and Conflict Management and completed his Juris Doctorate at the University of Baltimore.
Mr. Okin is a member of the Maryland State Bar Association, the Baltimore County Bar Association, the Prince George’s County Bar Association, the Maryland Criminal Defense Attorney’s Association, and the American Bar Association. He has experience in family law, both in general mediation and child access mediation. Additionally, Mr. Okin has done extensive work in the field of personal injury, medical malpractice and landlord/tenant matters.
When Mr. Okin is not at his Washington D.C., Rockville or Baltimore Law Offices, he devotes much of his free time to supporting the American Cancer Society, specifically in the area of funding-raising for Breast Cancer, Leukemia/Lymphoma and Lung Cancer research, as well as the Mount Washington Pediatric Hospital for Children. Additionally, Mr. Okin takes pride in his annual sponsorship of the Howard County Bar Association’s Bowling for Badges, Salvation Army Angel Tree Program and in pet rescues where he is an active participant in the local community.
