Carderock Charge 5K, 10K, & Half

Help us support our active duty troops and veterans injured in the line of duty.

Criminal defense lawyer Seth Okin is excited to be a sponsor of the 2018 Carderock Charge 5K, 10K & Half Marathon. The event takes place on August 25th, from 7:00 AM to 12:00 PM. The race starts at the Carderock Recreation Area and goes throughout the park.

The proceeds from the race benefit the EOD Warrior Foundation, which is a local nonprofit that provides financial assistance to support active duty military and veterans who have been wounded by the arming and disposing of bombs. The organization supports members of the Army, Marines, and Air Force.  

Keep those injured in your hearts as you enjoy the beautiful parks of Maryland on this scenic run. The park has flat courses, which are perfect for achieving personal records for running if that’s your goal. Those with walkers, strollers, and leashed pets are encouraged to attend. Participants should register online before the race as day of registration is not allowed by the National Park Service. The race is $30 for the 5K, $45 for the 10K, and $65 for the half marathon. Participants should arrive one hour before the event to pick up their race packets.
