For Mr. Okin, practicing law is more than a job, it’s a calling. His clients are more than a caseload, they are his top priority and focus as he strives to build a personal and individualized experience with every person he meets who is in need of legal representation. Mr. Okin also prides himself on his tenacious approach to each and every one of his cases and his ability to craft a strong defense, always fighting for the best outcome possible, no matter the severity or complexity of the charge.
The New York native made his way to Maryland via American University in Washington, DC and Towson University, where he graduated with Bachelor of Science degrees in Sociology and Anthropology. He earned both his Master’s Degree in Negotiation, Mediation and Conflict Management and his Juris Doctorate at the University of Baltimore.
The married father of one is a member of the Maryland State Bar Association, the Baltimore County Bar Association, the Maryland Criminal Defense Attorney’s Association, and the American Bar Association. Mr. Okin is also certified in the concentration of family law, both in general mediation and child access mediation. His work in family law has seen him take on many pro bono cases, most often dealing with protective order and protective custody cases where the health and happiness of the children involved are his utmost concern.
When Mr. Okin is not at his Baltimore Law Office, or at home with his wife and their daughter, he devotes much of his free time to supporting the American Cancer Society, specifically in the area of funding-raising for lung cancer research; and animal rights issues, where he is a strong advocate for the unfairly maligned and often misunderstood pit bull breed.
